These elegant, lightweight 14K gold-filled hammered disc earrings are made with 3/4 inch diameter discs. We hammered them to add shine and sparkle. They have the signature gold glow and are an attractive earring in a classic, timeless style.
14K gold filled metal is a base metal with a 5% coating of gold firmly bonded to the outside. The coating is about 100 times thicker than gold plating, so it can hold up much better than plated items, but it is also much less expensive than solid gold.
These domed discs are approx 19 mm in diameter (3/4"). That's about the size of a US penny. The entire earrings are a dainty 1-1/8" (2.8 cm) long.
