These lightweight small hammered teardrop earrings are made from solid sterling silver. I have a number of sizes of tear drop earrings, and these are the small, 1-1/4 inch long size.
We have textured them with a hammer, cupped them to give them a bit of a dome shape, and tumble polished them for shine and strength. These earrings are hung with several extra links to give them a chance to swing.
The widest part of the teardrop is about a 3/4" (17 mm) and the length of the tear drop is 7/8" (22 mm) long. The length of the entire earring is about 1-1/4" (3.5 cm) long.
These earrings are hung on your choice of sterling silver french hook earwires or sterling silver leverbacks. I've included a picture of the leverback ear wires so that you can see what they look like.
