These extra large (XL) nearly 2 1/2 inch long sterling silver teardrop earrings are made from fairly lightweight hammered sterling silver. These are a big, bold sized, eye catching earring that swings freely and has a lot of life and shine.
We have five sizes of tear drop earrings, and these are our extra large size. They are quite a lot larger than my large size earrings. Because they are quite a large teardrop, people who don't wear big earrings might consider them a little much.
They are USA artisan made and handcrafted from 100% solid sterling silver by us here in Oregon. We have cut the teardrops out of sterling silver, textured them with a hammer, dapped them to give them a bit of a dome shape, and tumble polished them for shine and strength.
The widest part of the teardrop is about an 1-1/4" (33 mm) and the length of the tear drop is almost 2" (1 15/16" or 48 mm) long. The length of the entire earring is almost 2 1/2" (6.1 cm) long.
These earrings are hung on your choice of sterling silver french hook earwires or sterling silver leverbacks for $3 more. I've included some pictures of them on the leverback ear wires so that you can see what they look like.
