These lightweight 14K gold-filled hammered disk earrings are made with small (3/4 inch) discs. I hammered them to add shine and sparkle. They have the signature gold glow and are a comfortable and attractive earring in a classic style.
14K gold filled metal is a base metal with a 5% coating of gold firmly bonded to the outside. The coating is about 100 times thicker than gold plating, so it can hold up much better than plated items, but it is also much less expensive than solid gold.
These domed discs are approx 19 mm in diameter (3/4"). That's about the size of a US penny. The entire earrings are a dainty 1-1/4" (3.2 cm) long.
These earrings are hung on gold filled french hook earwires or you can choose gold-filled leverbacks for $9 more. I've included a picture of the earrings with leverback ear wires so that you can see what they look like.
